My Story​

I spent a childhood surrounded by charming con artists, bent coppers and villains.

Growing up poor with well-off parents, I followed my passion for writing to train as a journalist. When it became obvious I wouldn’t break the confidence of those that entrusted me with their secrets, I ran away from that circus to join the corporate world. 

I became a consultant, first at Arthur Andersen and then independently, solving business and system problems in complex environments such as finance and government, spending twenty-years specialising in improving hospital and healthcare processes, practices and systems in Australia, the UK and the US.

Retiring early, I returned to my first love, writing, bringing to life the places, stories and characters that I grew up with and have a unique understanding of.

Today I live and write in my hometown, Sydney.
